What’s Copy editing, then?
The most important thing about any piece of writing is that whoever reads it should understand it. That means that if it’s a poem, you should understand what the writer was trying to make you feel. If it’s an academic piece, the reader should understand your argument. If it’s a shopping list, whoever’s doing the shopping needs to be able to bring you the right items.
